About this list

Frederiksberg is a municipality of its own in the middle of Copenhagen, and much of its chess meets at one address, Falkoner Allé 36. Skak for sjov, a large club built around teaching, has its rooms there; the Skaksalon in the same building opens to anyone on Thursday and Saturday afternoons, hosts the Last Friday evenings and keeps the same hours as the shop Bedre til skak. Frederiksberg Skakforening also gives Falkoner Allé as its address and meets on Wednesday evenings.

The club runs the Frederiksberg championship in the autumn and a winter Swiss tournament, both on the FIDE rating list. The town hall hosts the school-chess open København Open i skoleskak, and the Copenhagen junior championship has been played at Skak for sjov.
