Thursday is the busiest evening for club chess around Copenhagen. Amager Skakforening keeps an open evening at Prismen, Skakforeningen ØBRO holds its second club night after an hour of training for adults with some experience, Valby Skakklub meets at the culture centre and Brønshøj Skakforening plays in the north-west of the city. Nørrebro Skakklub adds the first Thursday of each month, usually with a blitz tournament.

On Frederiksberg the Skaksalon opens its doors in the afternoon without registration. In the suburbs, Gentofte Skakklub starts with an hour of training before play and also trains children with special needs on Thursdays, Skakforeningen Odysseus meets at the residents' house Pulsen in Søborg with its juniors first, and Taastrup Skakforening and Ishøj Skakklub hold their evenings at the Medborgerhus and at Brohuset.
