Rapid tournaments around Copenhagen 4

Hurtigskak, the Danish word for rapid chess, gives each player somewhere between ten minutes and an hour for the game, so a whole tournament fits into a day or a few evenings. Taastrup Skakforening runs a rapid Grand Prix in several legs through the season, with its final in May, and Skakforeningen ØBRO adds a rapid group to its Christmas tournament, Juleskak, at the end of November.

The Copenhagen championship of Københavns Skak Union lists rapid among its formats next to the long games, and in Valby the club's open tournament for children and young people is played at a quicker pace in the early evening on autumn Thursdays.
