About this list

Most Copenhagen clubs run junior chess, and the usual pattern is an hour or so of training before the adults' evening. Skakforeningen ØBRO trains juniors on Monday afternoons, Brøndby Skakklub from five on Mondays, Caïssa Gladsaxe and Furesø Skakklub on Tuesdays, and Skakforeningen Odysseus in Søborg and Taastrup Skakforening on Thursdays; Ishøj Skakklub welcomes children from the age of six to its Monday training.

Skak for sjov on Frederiksberg is a club built around teaching, with lessons for young beginners on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, and Gentofte Skakklub trains juniors on Tuesday and Wednesday as well as children with special needs on Thursday. School chess at Kirkebjerg Skole in Vanløse sits on this list too, and Amager, BMS in Ballerup, Lyngby-Virum, Nørrebro and Valby take juniors as well.
